Senad Zerić put Željezničar ahead in the eighth minute but Vahidin Imamović levelled the scores on the stroke of half-time. However, Alen Bakjuša, aris Alihodžić and Sanel Jahić gave the hosts a three-goal cushion in the first 20 minutes of the second period and late games from Jure Guvo and Bajkuša sealed the victory.

Second-half goals
Široki Brijeg are up to fourth place with a 3-1 win at lowly NK Velež.  Miroslav Dujmović put the visitors ahead on the hour and a double from Hrvoje Erceg put them clear before Arnel Škaljić scored Velež's consolation goal two minutes from time.

NK Čelik slipped to sixth with a 1-0 loss to NK Sloboda, while Nenad Stoiljković's late equaliser gave FK Kozara a 2-2 draw at NK Oršje and FK Borac played out a goalless draw with FK Ugljevik.

Match abandoned
