Article body
First-team regular
The English Under-21 international has been a fixture for Steve McClaren's side since breaking in to the first team when Robbie Stockdale was sidelined with a foot injury in October, missing just two out of 22 games after making his debut against Leeds on 26 October. Parnaby was rewarded for his fine form with a contract extension until 2007 which he signed last week.
European target
The news is a major blow for the Teeside club, whose hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Cup have been revitalised by the return from injury of Brazilian midfield player Juninho Paulista.
