All change at Kotayk

Members

Armenian Premier League side FC Kotayk have signed nine new players for the coming season.

Welcome returns
Five of the players have been signed from FC MIKA, with Armen Markosyan, Hayk Harutunyan and Aram Avanesyan all returning for further spells at the Kotayk stadium. Defenders Arsen Dallakyan and Karen Grigoryan have also switched from MIKA.

Experienced signings

New ownership
The drastic changes at Kotayk have been inspired by a change of ownership, as president of the Multi Group corporation and vice-president of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan will sponsor the club from next season. "This team will not have financial problems anymore," said Tsarukyan. "One thing we need from the players is to retain the old glory of this side and be in top five next year."

Financial difficulties
Kotayk have struggled in recent years amid financial problems, and last season finished second bottom of the standings, narrowly avoiding relegation.
