NK Publikum took over at the top of the 1. Liga with a 3-1 victory against NK Primorje.

Olimpija held
NK Olimpija Ljubljana, the Slovenian First League's previous leaders, were held to a 1-1 draw by NK Dravograd, enabling Publikum to take over at the top on goal difference. Midfield player Roman Plesec gave the home side the lead after just six minutes and although Jusufbegovic equalised for Olimpija ten minutes after half-time, the away side were unable to find a winning goal.

First-half goals
Mitja Brulc opened the scoring for Publikum after 26 minutes, before goals from Darko Maletič and Robert Koren made it 3-0 before half-time. Matej Mlakar scored a late consolation for Primorje nine minutes from time.

Koper awarded win
NK Koper were awarded a 3-0 victory against NK Korotan, whose players failed to appear for the scheduled game as they are on strike having not been paid for five months.

Two-goal victories
Elsewhere, NK Maribor were 2-0 winners against NK Ljubljana and Nk Rudar Velenje suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of NK Šmartno.

Relegation game
In Saturday’s game, NK Gorica drew 1-1 with FK Mura to leave both sides with a point that was of little help to either in their struggles against relegation.
