Gabor, who has been promoted from youth-team coach, faces the task of trying to save Mura from relegation. They are currently second from bottom of the Slovenian First League and last weekend lost 4-0 to leaders NK Publikum.
Beširević has change of heart
While Gabor takes the reins at Mura, NK Ljubljana will not be appointing a new coach after all, following Suad Beširević's change of heart about quitting the club.
Player power
Beširević announced his resignation last week but he has now decided to stay in charge until the end of the season at the request of the Ljubljana players. Ljubljana are eighth in the table after a disappointing run of results.
