Early goals
Andreas Ivanschitz gave home side Rapid the lead on eleven minutes, but Júlio César equalised on the quarter-hour mark to keep Austria firmly on target for the championship, while SV Pasching remain in second place but were unable to narrow the gap as they were held 0-0 by lowly VfB Admira Wacker Mödling.
Sturm bounce back
Third-placed SK Sturm Graz bounced back from their 5-0 defeat by rivals Grazer AK last week to record a 2-0 victory against bottom club Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz. Imre Szabics put Sturm ahead in the 39th minute and David Mujiri made the result safe in stoppage time.
Naumoski seals win
GAK themselves are still fourth place after their 2-0 win against SV Ried. Andrzej Lesiak put into his own net in the 51st minute and Ilco Naumoski sealed the win with a fine lob two minutes from time.
Laessig equaliser
SV Austria Salzburg and FC Kärnten's fixture ended in a 1-1 draw to keep the sides clear of the relegation zone. Juan Carlos Zuleta put Kärnten ahead in the eighth minute, but Heiko Laessig equalised for the home team 13 minutes later.
