Article body
Wisla Kraków will meet Wisla Plock in the Polish Cup final after both came through the second legs of their respective semi-finals tonight.
First-half setback
Wisla had earned a 2-1 away win at Widzew Lódz last week, but fell behind in the first half tonight as Miodrag Andjelkovic was fouled inside the penalty area by Wisla goalkeeper Adam Piekutowski and Michal Stasiak scored from the spot.
Solo strike
However, Mauro Cantoro equalised with a fine solo strike in the second half, finishing his individual run from close range, and Wisla were able to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Plock fall behind
Plock had defeated second division RKS Radomsko 1-0 away last Wednesday, but also fell behind in the first half, as Artur Lamch put the underdogs in front after 30 minutes.
Jelen again
Plock likewise rallied after half-time and equalised on the hour as Ariel Jakubowski crossed for Ireneusz Jelen, who had scored the only goal of the first leg, to find the net again from close range to send Plock to the cup final for the first time in their history.
Final dates
The first leg of the final will take place on 7 May, with the return a week later.
