Hammarby have signed Anderson Gomes on a one-year contract from Brazilian club CR Vasco de Gama.
Second Brazilian
The 21-year-old striker becomes the second Brazilian at the Allsvenskan club, where he will link up with midfield player Elvis. Anderson Gomes, who began the 2002/03 season with Bulgarian Premier League side PFC Litex Lovech before returning home, is already looking forward to his new challenge.
High ambitions
"It feels great. I already feel at home at the club, and everyone has been very kind to me," he said. "Hammarby seems a good club and my primary goal is to help the team win the league. Secondly, I want to be the top scorer."

Disappointing season
The club finished last season in ninth position, which they will be hoping to improve on this time round. Hammarby begin the new Allsvenksan campaign with a home game against IF Elfsborg on 7 April.
