Sogndal IL are the shock leaders in Norway after a 1-0 win at Bryne FK on Monday.
Flo on form
The unfashionable club maintained a 100 per cent record with their second win of the new Norwegian campaign, a headed goal from former SV Werder Bremen and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC striker Håvard Flo settling the result in the first half. "I did not expect us to lead after two rounds, but we have a hard-working team and we work hard for each other," said Flo.
Important draw
Rosenborg BK could join Sogndal on six points with a win at SK Brann on Tuesday night, but for the time being, Tromsø IL and Viking FK share second place after a 2-2 draw on Monday. Former Manchester United FC striker Erik Nevland scored twice for the visitors early on, but Tromsø got back into the game with a goal in each half.
Hoset hat-trick
Molde FK are fourth after a hat-trick from striker Magne Hoset helped them earn a 4-0 win against Lillestrøm SK. Hoset opened his account after just eight minutes with a low shot from 15 metres, and completed his treble with two penalties before half-time. "This was my best match in the Tippeligaen ever," he said. "We did not play really well, but were sharp on the break."
Stabæk hit back
Elsewhere, Stabæk IF took revenge for their Norwegian Cup semi-final defeat against Odds BK last autumn with a 4-1 win, while FK Bodø/Glimt camne from behind to secure a 3-2 home win against SFK Lyn. Finally, a half-time dressing-down from player-coach Kjetil Rekdal inspired Vålerenga Fotball to a 3-1 win against newcomers Aalesund FK.
Vålerenga revival
The visitors had taken a 25th-minute lead through striker Tor Hogne Aarøy but second-half goals from Pa Madou Kah, Estonian striker Kristen Vikmäe and winger David Hanssen gave Vålerenga a comfortable victory in the end. "We played naively in the first half, but my players got the message," said Rekdal.
