Racing role for Yosu

Real Racing Club Santander have strengthened their coaching staff with the appointment of Nando Yosu to work alongside Chuchi Cos and the club's owner, Dimitri Piterman.

Experienced head
Yosu, who has held the reins at Racing twice previously, said he hoped to bring to bear "his experience in helping the team with problems". He had been working in a technical role at the Sardinero but will now serve as No2 to the joint-management team of Piterman, a Ukrainian-American businessman, and Cos.

Relegation fight
Racing are fourth-bottom of the Primera División and face a fight against relegation in their remaining eleven matches. Piterman has been involved in team affairs since the resignation of Manuel Preciado in January. Yosu said: "The president wants me to be on the pitch with him. He thinks I can help to get things going. He is my boss and I just had to accept it."
