Two goals from NK Publikum striker Andrej Kvas set up a 3-0 win against NK Mura that moves his team four points clear of NK Olimpija Ljubljana at the top of the Slovenian First League.
Vital goals
The relegation-threatened visitors held out for 30 minutes before Kvas opened the scoring. He claimed his second two minutes after half-time and their third, from Simon Seslar, followed three minutes later. Olimpija now have a game in hand as they were not in action.
Rudar adrift
NK Rudar Velenje remain three points adrift of Mura in the relegation zone following a 2-1 defeat by NK Ljublijana, who took a huge step towards ensuring survival. Dražen Žežel put Ljubijana ahead seven minutes into the first half, and although Alen Mujanovic equalised soon afterwards, Žežel scored at the same point of the second period to secure the points.
Maribor move closer
Reigning champions NK Maribor, are now within a point of Olimpija after beating NK Primorje 2-0. Both goals came in the second half, with Žikica Vuksanovic scoring after 65 minutes and Igor Mostarlic with only 60 seconds left to play.
Rebol scores four
The individual performance of the day came from NK Dravograd's Matej Rebol, who scored all four goals in the 4-1 win against NK Gorica to move his side three points clear of their opponents and seven away from the relegation zone. Elsewhere, Patrick Ipavec's 61st-minute goal was enough to give NK Koper a 1-0 victory against NK Šmartno.
