Belarus round-up: Torpedo take the lead

FC Torpedo Zhodino are the only side in the Belarussian Premier League with two wins out of two following a 2-0 victory at FC Dinamo Brest.

Zhodino, fifth last season, went ahead through Yuri Shumanski on 52 minutes. Yuri Markhel sealed the win late in the game

Champions held
Reigning champions FC BATE Borisov were held 0-0 for the second match running, playing out a goalless draw with Belarussian Cup holders FC Gomel. Both goalkeepers had an inspired game, with Gomel now in fourth.

Match switched
FC Lokomotiv Minsk visited FC Slavia Mozyr and won 2-0 with second-half goals from Nikolai Kashevski and Dmitri Denisyuk, while FC Dinamo Minsk and FC Neman Grodno drew 0-0 in a match switched to Minsk from Grodno. Neman are engaged in pitch redevelopments and will host the return.

Single-goal victories
FC Transmash Mogilev and FC Molodechno 2000 both won their matches against Shakhtior Soligorsk and FC Belshina Bobruisk with the same 1-0 scoreline, while FC Torpedo-SKA Minsk could only draw 1-1 with FC Naftan-Devon Novopolotsk. FC Darida Zhdanovichi played out a 2-2 result against FC Zvezda-VA-BGU Minsk.
