Article body
Meistriliiga leaders FC Flora Tallinn maintained their three-point advantage over second-placed FC Levadia Maardu with a 4-0 defeat of FC Valga.
Quick start
Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko gave Flora the lead with the second-fastest goal in the history of the league, scoring after just 33 seconds, just 17 slower than Egidijus Juška's effort three years ago.
Debut goal
Tor Henning Hamre maintained his impressive early season form by collecting two goals, one from the penalty spot and another late on, while midfield player Ott Reinumäe opened his account in the Estonian Premier Division in the 50th minute.
Tšelnokov hat-trick
Levadia Maardu, meanwhile, kept in touch with the leaders by taking maximum points from their trip to FC Kuressaare with a 6-0 win. Vladimir Tšelnokov took the plaudits by hitting a hat-trick but Maksim Rõtškov was also on form, scoring twice, and Argo Arbeiter rounded off proceedings.
TVMK undefeated
Third-placed FC TVMK Tallinn secured an away victory at city rivals FC Levadia Tallinn, winning 3-0. Ingemar Teever put his side ahead just before the break, tucking away a rebound after goalkeeper Janno Hermanson fumbled Maksim Kisseljov’s fierce shot.
Ten men
Levadia, however, were reduced to ten men for the last twenty minutes following an injury to defender Andrei Timofejev and TVMK extended their lead through last season’s top scorer Andrei Krõlov. Andrei Borissov sealed the victory with a sweetly-struck volley.
Hard-fought draw
JK Tulevik Viljandi and JK Trans Narva, meanwhile, played out a 1-1 draw in Pärnu. Konstantin Karin gave Trans the lead after nine minutes, but Enver Jääger announced his return from injury with an equaliser 16 minutes later.
