England round-up: Viduka edges Leeds nearer safety

Members

Mark Viduka scored both goals as Leeds United AFC beat Fulham FC 2-0 to move away from the relegation zone.

Mark Viduka gave Leeds United AFC some breathing space in the Premiership relegation battle as he struck a goal in each half to defeat fellow strugglers Fulham FC 2-0 at Elland Road.

Vital victory
The win moves Leeds on to 41 points and pushes them up two places to 15th in the standings ahead of Bolton Wanderers FC and tonight's oponents. Viduka gave the home side the lead after four minutes when he headed in Gary Kelly's corner and the Australian international scored a second three minutes after the interval with a right-foot shot from inside the penalty area.

West Ham in trouble
Sunderland AFC and West Bromwich Albion FC have already been relegated from the top flight, but who will join them in the first division next season is still to be decided. West Ham United FC, third from bottom with 35 points, look the most likely candidates.
