Turkish Super League leaders Besiktas JK fell to their first league defeat of the season tonight as they lost 1-0 to Diyarbakirspor.
Saffet winner
The match was originally scheduled to be played nearly two months ago but was postponed due to Besiktas' UEFA Cup campaign. Saffet Akyüz scored the only goal of the match on 31 minutes - swiftly applying a sliding finish after accepting a pass from Hasan Yigit. Besiktas therefore stay on 64 points, just one point clear of second-placed Galatasaray SK. Meanwhile, Diyarbakirspor climb up two places from 13th to 11th.
Denizlispor draw
Tonight's other rearranged match between Denizlispor and Fenerbahçe SK ended 1-1. Denizlispor took the lead after 52 minutes through Henrich Bencik but Russian striker Vladimir Bestchastnykh equalised with his first ever goal for Fenerbahçe, who stay in fifth with 45 points.
