Basement encounter
Košice, for whom Ján Kozák hit the post, remain rooted to the foot of the table, three points behind FK Laugaricio Trencín, who met fellow strugglers AŠK Inter Bratislava on the same afternoon. Jraj Halenár's double earned Inter all three points - their first maximum haul since the winter break.

Mintál magic
In the day's other game, MŠK Zilina took the lead against FC Spartak Trnava through Marek Mintál's 15th goal of the season - but they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw after Vladimír Kozuch's equaliser and now sit six points behind leaders Slovan.

Kinder surprise
On Saturday, FC Artmedia Petrzalka moved into third position with their sixth consecutive home victory - a 1-0 win against ŠKM Púchov secured by captain Vladimír Kinder's 78th-minute goal. Peter Kiska, Andrej Porázik and Pavol Straka found the net for the home side - but an own goal from Marián Zimen secured a share of the spoils for Ruzomberok.
