Article body
Two wins
The club are bottom of the table and are five points from the relegation play-off zone and a further seven adrift off complete safety. Nunweiller took charge during the winter break, but managed to collect just two wins and a draw in the last seven rounds.
Troubled time
Nunweiller, who has lived in Switzerland for the past 20 years, was in his first spell as a coach in Romania and found it a difficult experience. "I realised that to accomplish things is very hard and slow in Romania," he said, predicting more problems for the nation's football in the future. He added: "That's why we don't need to wonder why some foreign coaches resist working in Romania. You all know well the reasons and it's no need for me to unveil them."
Pana in charge
His immediate replacement will be assistant coach Costel Pana, with UTA taking on FC Universitatea Craiova tomorrow. UTA have lost their previous two games, with the 1-0 regional derby defeat last Sunday against FC Politehnica AEK Timisoara proving the final straw for Nunweiller.
