Böhme double
Schalke moved up to sixth place, within five points of BV Borussia Dortmund in the third UEFA Champions League place, after Jörg Böhme put them ahead on the stroke of half-time with a penalty. Ebbe Sand made it 2-0 on 54 minutes and Böhme added the third to leave bottom-placed Energie eight points away from safety with only six games left.
Hannover worry
Diego Klimowicz's goal on 55 minutes ensured VfL Wolfsburg beat struggling Hannover 96 1-0. The Argentinian's strike ensured his side moved up to eighth, while Hannover are 13th, three points ahead of third-bottom Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
