Staying put
The 25-year-old's contract had been due to expire next month. The deal comes soon after fellow French international Bixente Lizarazu also agreed a new contract at Bayern, keeping him with the club until June 2005.
Bounced back
Sagnol, capped 14 times by his country, arrived in Germany from AS Monaco FC in July 2000. After a surprise early exit from the UEFA Champions League, Bayern bounced back to claim the Bundesliga title with several weeks to spare.
