Article body
Good and bad
Despite the goals from Risto Ojanen and Petteri Kaijasilta, Allianssi coach Tiittanen was not entirely happy with the performance, saying: "We played well in our own half but were a bit lazy. We had more chances though and deserved to win."
Leaving it late
Meanwhile, defending champions HJK Helsinki were made to work hard for their win at KuPS Kuopio, but late goals from Ridvan Zeneli and Alexei Eremenko secured a 2-0 success.
Patient game
FC Haka also had to wait until the second half to make the breakthrough against FC KooTeePee, whom they overcame with strikes from Sergei Terehhov and Mikko Innanen. Like Inter Turku, KooTeePee remain pointless.
Solitary goal
Elsewhere, Tampere United opened their account, winning 1-0 at FC Lahti with a Tero Koskela goal. But Myllykosken Pallo-47 were held 0-0 at home by FC Hämeenlinna, who played the last half-hour with only ten men after Jukka Vanninen was sent off.
Jazz out of tune
In Wednesday's game, FC Jokerit continued their unbeaten start to the campaign, defeating FC Jazz 3-1 at home with goals from Konstantin Nahk, Matti Hiukka and Niklas Tarvajarvi.
