Cousin staying put
Daniel Cousin, the club’s top striker with 15 goals in 26 matches, will stay at the club having signed a contract extension that lasts until summer 2005. Meanwhile Laurent Peyrelade, who is on loan from CS Sedan-Ardennes, will definitely stay with Le Mans for at least another season.
Surprise package
Le Mans have also recruited defender Jean-Jacques Domoraud from FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on a two-year-contract and Mauritanian midfielder Désiré Périatambée from FC Grenoble on the same terms. Le Mans were the surprise package in Ligue 2 this season, finishing second behind Toulouse FC.
