Members

Bolton Wanderers FC have signed Olympiakos FC's Greek international Stylianos Giannakopoulos.

Mixed feelings
The 29-year-old Olympiakos Pireaus FC player, who was available on a free transfer, was sad to be leaving Greece said he had "mixed feelings" about the transfer. "I am extremely satisfied that I will play in one of the greatest leagues in Europe, but I also feel sad leaving Greece and Olympiakos, where I lived some of the greatest years of my life," he explained.

Exciting challenge
He added: "I have taken a new turn in my career and I hope that I will perform to the best of my abilities. Each Saturday, I will feel like I am wearing the shirt of the Greek national team, since I will represent our football in England. It will be very exciting to play alongside some great players such as Jay-Jay Okocha and Youri Djorkaeff."

Proven goalscorer
Giannakopoulos had been with Olympiakos since July 1996 and was a regular as they recorded seven straight league titles in that time. This season, he finished second top scorer in the Greek league with 15 goals. He has also found the net six times in 17 international appearances.
