Andersen rewarded for Farum fairy tale

Members

Farum coach Christian Andersen has extended his contract with the club until December 2004.

European hopefuls
Andersen's team have been the surprise package of the season after winning promotion last year. They are in third place in the top flight, with a realistic chance of a place in the UEFA Cup.

Crowd pleaser
Farum chairman Allan Pedersen told the club's website that Andersen had earned his deal. "Christian Andersen's results speak for themselves," he said. "His style of attacking, crowd-pleasing football fits the club's ambitions perfectly. And there's a really exciting process under way with the development of young players."

Popular figure
"It is also important that Christian is well liked by the players, the fans and our business partners," Pedersen added. The coach himself is looking forward to spending more time at Farum. "It is great to be able to continue at the club. The prospects look really exciting and we have new people in charge who know what they want," Andersen said.
