NK Publikum survived a scare at home on Sunday to defeat NK Primorje 2-1 and strengthen their grip at the top of the Slovenian First League.
Cadikovski winner
Publikum went behind in the 24th minute when Marko Vogric gave the visitors a surprise lead and had to wait until the the 79th minute before levelling through Simon Seslar. The goal provided the necessary inspiration the home team, whose final-minute winner arrived courtesy of Dragan Cadikovski.
Narrow win
Second-placed NK Maribor, meanwhile, collected a 1-0 win against NK Koper to stay in the hunt for the championship thanks to a late goal from Drako Djukic.
Late leveller
NK Olimpija remain third following a 1-1 draw at home against NK Era Šmartno, who went ahead in the 31st minute through Marko Barun. A victory for the visitors seemed certain but Ante Simundza equalised in added time to ensure a share of the points.
Spoils shared
Elsewhere, NK Gorica and NK Mura also drew 1-1 while NK Dravograc produced an impressive display to defeat NK Rudar 3-1.
