MTK Hungária FC are level on points with leaders Ferencvárosi TC after a 3-1 win against Györi ETO FC.

Illés in form
The top two in Hungary now stand level on 60 points after a superb performance from Béla Illés helped earn a win for MTK. The midfield player laid on the first goal of the game for Hungarian Under-21 international Roland Juhász before claiming two goals of his own to bring his season tally to 20.

Individual goal
First, he swept from midfield, beat three defenders and chipped a shot over Györ goalkeeper Zsolt Sebök which ricocheted off the crossbar and into the net. He was then in the right place at the right time to pick up a loose ball after Welton da Silva's shot was saved to make it 3-0. Alexandr Bajevski's penalty for Györ, his fifth goal since joining the club in the spring, proved to be scant
consolation.

Ferencváros held
Victory was made all the sweeter for MTK as Ferencváros were held to a goalless draw at Újpesti TE, while in the other championship group game, Siófok BSE lost 5-3 at home against Debreceni VSC. Two goals each from Hungarian international Zoltán Böör and Romanian striker Marius Sumudica proved to be decisive.

Dunaferr relegated
In the relegation group, Dunaferr SE were condemned to relegation after a shattering 4-1 defeat at last season's champions Zalaegerszegi TE. Two goals from Krisztián Kenesei brought him level with Illés on 20 goals for the season, and two more from forward Szabolcs Gyánó subjected Dunaferr to the drop.

Honvéd in trouble
Kispest Honvéd FC remain in serious danger of following Dunaferr into the second division after a goalless draw at home against MFC Sopron, which was marred by no fewer than four red cards in the closing minutes. Two players were dismissed late in the game as Békéscsabai EFC won 1-0 against Videoton FC Fehérvár.
