Two for Markhel
Two Yuri Markhel goals and one from Dennis Karolik secured Zhodino's win and spoilt Igor Gasyuto’s debut as Molodecho's coach. FC Gomel and FC Torpedo-SKA Minsk both stayed in touch at the top as each recorded 2-0 away victories at FC Dinamo Minsk and FC Slavia Mozyr respectively.

Two-goal wins
Goals from Yuri Sulimenko on 33 minutes and Aleksandr Danilov nine minutes past the hour gave Gomel the win, while Sergei Kozak and Vitali Bochkov were on target in either half for Torpedo-SKA.

Shakhtior success
FC Shakhtior Soligorsk defeated champions FC BATE Borisov 3-1, with defender Aleksei Belousov scoring twice and Sergei Nikiforenko converting a penalty three minutes after half-time while Evgeni Loshankov scored BATE’s only reply.

Away wins
Elsewhere, FC Neman Grodno drew 1-1 with FC Dnepr-Transmash Mogilev, while the three other matches all resulted in away wins. FC Dinamo Brest defeated 2-0 FC Lokomotiv Minsk, FC Belshina Bobruisk won at FC Zvezda-VA-BGU Minsk by the same scoreline and FC Darida Zhdanovichi were 2-1 winners away to FC Naftan-Devon Novopolotsk.
