FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi moved to the top of the Georgian Premier League after their late winning goal against FC Sioni Bolnisi and FC Dinamo Tbilisi's home 2-0 defeat by reigning champions FC Torpedo Kutaisi.
Late winner
WIT, coached by the Italian Gianni Carnevali, secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Erekle Merebashvili in the last minute after Levan Melkadze's flick-on. They are now level on 38 points with Dinamo, but ahead on number of won games.
Champions beat Dinamo
Dinamo themselves were beaten by a double from Zurab Ionanidze in the 46th and 82nd minutes. Those were his 18th and 19th league goals and now joins Levan Melkadze on top of the scorers' table.
Lokomotivi in third
FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi remain ahead of Torpedo in third, four points behind the leaders, after a 2-0 win against FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti, still yet to score in the championship play-offs. Davit Siradze and Nana Eshun's late goals kept their side in the top three, also on matches won.
Metalurgi adrift
FC Metalurgi Zestaponi lost their sixth relegation play-off match out of six to move six points adrift from safety with a 4-0 loss to FC Dila Gori. Third-bottom FC Milani Tsnori drew 1-1 with FC Gorda 2000 Rustavi to remain three points clear of their opponents, while FC Dinamo Batumi and FC Merani-Olimpi Tbilisi played out a goalless draw. The bottom two go down automatically, with the next highest team taking part in a play-off.
