Article summary
Port Talbot Town FC completed the league season in Wales on Friday with a 1-0 home win against Cwmbran Town FC.
Article body
Outstanding fixture
A goal on the stroke of half-time from Rob Folland was enough to win the game, which had been postponed from 11 April following the death of former Cwmbran manager Tony Willcox.
Final standings
The result meant Port Talbot finished eleventh in the Premiership table, eleven points behind Cwmbran in ninth place. Willcox, who had led Cwmbran for ten years before standing down earlier in the campaign due to ill health, passed away last month.
Promotion place
With Barry Town AFC having secured their seventh championship in eight seasons, and both Welshpool Town AFC and Llanelli FC relegated, the only remaining issue is who will be promoted alongside Porthmadog FC, winners of the Cymru Alliance. UWIC Inter Cardiff look favourites to claim the promotion place from the Welsh League, which will be decided on 10 May.
European entry
Barry will play in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds, while runners-up TNS Llansantffraid FC will go into the UEFA Cup together with Welsh Cup finalists Cwmbran. Third-placed Bangor City FC will enter the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
