Wisla Kraków's lead at the top of the Ekstraklasa was cut to three points after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at second-placed Dospel Katowice.
Chances at both ends
The home side began beightly and might have taken the lead in the 29th minute, but Stanislaw Wrobel's came back off a post. However, Wisla's Kamil Kosowski also struck an upright on the hour and the only goal of the game arrived nine minutes later as Katowice defender Pawel Adamczyk, a former Wisla player, scored from the close range after a corner.
Late opportunities
Wisla pushed forward, but Nigerian Kalu Uche was twice denied by Dospel goalkeeper Jaroslaw Tkocz. The home side’s counterattacks might have been rewarded with a second goal, but Adam Piekutowski saved Robert Sierka's shot from inside the penalty area.
Long-awaited win
Legia Warszawa celebrated a first win at Widzew Lódz in 26 years with Marek Saganowski scoring two well-worked goals for Legia after Cezary Kucharski had opened the scoring. Widzew's Robert Dymkowski scored a consolation goal for the home side two minutes from time.
Derby success
KS Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski earned a 3-2 victory away to local rivals KKS Lech Poznan, twice taking the lead through Sebastain Mila and Andrzej Niedzielan. However, the home side found two equalisers as strikes from Piotr Reiss and a Marcin Lukaszewski own goal seemed to have earned a draw, until substitute Grzegorz Rasiak headed the winner with seconds remaining.
Struggle at the bottom
At the bottom, already-relegated Pogon Szczecin and KSZO Ostrowiec both suffered 2-1 away defeats at Wisla Plock and Odra Wodzislaw respectively, while KS Ruch Chorzow dropped into the third automatic relegation spot following another 2-1 defeat, this time at KS Amica Wronki.
Crucial three points
Zaglebie Lubin climbed to fourth from bottom with a crucial 2-1 win at Garbarnia Szczakowianka Jaworzno, while KP Polonia Warszawa shared the points with KS Górnik Zabrze after a 1-1 draw.
