ŠK Slovan Bratislava stayed level with leaders MŠK Zilina at the top of the Slovakian Superleague with three matches remaining after a 2-1 win against 1. FC Košice that relegated the two-time champions

Vittek winnner
Ján Šlahor shot Slovan into a 13th-minute lead on Saturday, but Košice were given hope when Pavel Kulig equalised immediately. However, their fate was sealed when Robert Vittek headed his 16th season goal on the stroke of half-time, as Laugaricio Trencín moved an unassailable ten points clear of Zilina with a 3-1 win against AŠK Inter Bratislava.

Zilina stay top
Reigning title-holders MŠK Zilina ensured they kept first place as they beat FC Spartak Trnava 2-0. Martin Fabuš struck his eleventh goal since joining Zilina from Trencín - and his league-leading 19th of the season overall - with an early penalty, and Marek Mintál took his personal tally to 17 just five minutes from the end.

Petrzalka in running
FC Artmedia Petrzalka overcame Slovakian Cup winners ŠKM Púchov 1-0, courtesy of a goal from 18-year-old substitute Martin Mikulic. Petrzalka remain within five points of the top two, with only one club entering each of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup through the league.
