ŠK Slovan Bratislava remain three points clear in the Slovakian Superleague after a 1-0 derby victory against third-placed FC Artmedia Petrzalka on Sunday.

Late goal
Slovan striker Robert Vittek was unsuccessful from the penalty spot for the first time in his career when visiting goalkeeper Martin Lipcák made a 20th-minute save. However, Peter Dzúrik headed in 17 minutes from the end to ensure his side ended the weekend with their lead intact. Petrzalka now trail by eight points.

Champions win
The previous day, defending champions MŠK Zilina stayed in contention with a 2-0 victory against FK ZTS Dubnica. Martin Fabuš claimed both the goals to take himself to the head of the scorers' table with 16 this season.
