Galatasaray SK have been granted permission to use the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul for the two years it will take to renovate their Ali Sami Yen stadium.
Temporary home
The Istanbul club have been looking for a temporary home as they prepare to demolish and rebuild the Ali Sami Yen stadium - a project due to begin in June. They have now persuaded the city's Olympic Games Committee to allow them use of the Olympic Stadium, where Turkey's national team play their matches.
Promoting the stadium
Galatasaray president Özhan Canaydin said: "Galatasaray will play a big role in the promotion of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium." The stadium was completed two years ago and has a capacity of 81,000.
