Jochemsen takes Twente option

Midfield player Arco Jochemsen will join FC Twente when his contract at FC Utrecht expires.

New deal
The 32-year-old has agreed terms for a one-year deal with Twente after financially-troubled Utrecht decided not to extend his current contract beyond the end of the season.

Financial problems
Twente and De Graafschap were both interested in signing Jochemsen on a free transfer but it was Twente, who have financial problems of their own, who finally agreed a deal with the attack-minded player.
 
Feyenoord move
Jochemsen started his career at SBV Vitesse and became a regular player in Arnhem. In the summer of 2000 he earned a transfer to Dutch giants Feyenoord, playing 23 matches, mainly as a substitute.

Eredivisie experience
Having failed to establish himself in the first team at the De Kuip stadium he moved on to Utrecht in 2001. To date, he has made 221 appearances in the Dutch top flight, scoring 26 goals in the process.
