FC Flora Tallinn and FC TVMK Tallinn moved out in front at the top of the Meistriliiga.

Estonian Cup finalists FC Flora and FC TVMK Tallinn broke clear at the top of the Meistriliiga after defeating FC Kuressaare and FC Valga respectively.

Imperious form
Flora, who meet TMVK in the Cup final on Tuesday, were in imperious form as they despatched Kuressaare 7-1 on Friday. Aleksandr Tarassenkov opened the scoring in the second minute and although Keijo Tanhuanpää equalised soon after, Tarassenkov re-established the lead with a header in the 26th minute and Antti Arst's shot from distance made it 3-1 before the break.

Goalscoring run
Tor Henning Hamre converted from the penalty spot after the interval and set up the fifth for Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko, who is on the verge of equalling Sergei Bragin's record of scoring in eight consecutive matches. Flora captain Erko Saviauk and Hamre again rounded off the victory.

Teever double
Ingemar Teever was in spectacular form as he scored twice in TVMK's 3-0 defeat of Valga, while Andrei Krõlov sealed the points to keep his side just two points behind Flora at the top of the table.

Historic win
JK Trans Narva, meanwhile, secured their first win in 17 meetings with FC Levadia Maardu thanks to a 1-0 triumph on Thursday. Oleg Kolotsei scored an 87th-minute winner and only an excellent performance from goalkeeper Artur Kotenko prevented the margin of victory from being wider.

Debut goal
In Thursday's other game, JK Tulevik Viljandi defeated FC Levadia Tallinn 3-1 with Aleksandr Dubõkin scoring twice for the home team. The winger scored his first-ever league goal in the 33rd minute and was on target again in the second half.
