Article body
Bulgarian champions PFC CSKA Sofia celebrated their 29th title in style with 5-2 victory against PFC Naftex Burgas on the final day of the A PFG season.
Five-star show
The match was effectively over by half-time, as CSKA raced into a 4-0 lead thanks to goals from Velizar Dimitrov, Agnaldo, Svetoslav Petrov and Todor Yanchev. Argentinian Under-21 international Marcos Charas scored his first goal for CSKA to extend his side's advantage in the second half, before Todor Kiselichkov scored twice to salvage some pride for Naftex. CSKA coach Stoicho Mladenov also gave his son, Stoicho Mladenov jr, his league debut and thus the pair became the first father and son team to win the league in the same season.
Levski win
Deposed champions PFC Levski Sofia, who finished as runners-up this term, also ended the season on a high with a 2-1 win away at PFC Chernomorets Burgas. Stanislav Angelov opened the scoring for the visitors on 65 minutes, before Petar Stanev equalised seven minutes later. Dimiter Telkiiski then emerged as the hero for Levski, scoring the winning goal with three minutes remaining.
Dimitrov on his way
Former Bulgaria coach Dimiter Dimitrov left his managerial post at PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv in high spirits as his side ran out 4-2 winners at home to PFC Litex Lovech. Martin Kamburov scored twice inside the first ten minutes to put Plovdiv on their way, with Petar Kolev and Doncho Donev adding further goals. Dimitrov confirmed after the match that he is leaving his current position and is expected to return at Naftex next season.
Slavia happy
PFC Cherno More Varna finished the season with a 4-0 home win over PFC Slavia Sofia, but the visitors had more reason to celebrate as they finished fourth in the table and will play in the UEFA Intertoto Cup next season. Elsewhere, PFC Lokomotiv Sofia beat PFC Spartak Varna 2-1 at home, while relegated PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich overcame PFC Botev Plovdiv 3-0. PFC Rilski Sportist Samokov, the other side to be relegated this season, secured a 3-3 home draw against local rivals PFC Marek Dupnitza.
