FK Radnicki Obrenovac coach Mihajlo Ivanovic has resigned despite preserving the club's top-flight status in Serbia and Montenegro.

Relegation avoided
The 53-year-old joined the club after round 28, leaving him with just six matches to steer the club away from relegation. They finished 12th with 44 points from 34 games, just one place above the six-team relegation zone.

Tough decision
Explaining his reasons for leaving, Ivanovic said: "I can't work every year fighting for a place in the Prva savezna liga. I want peace and a chance to prove myself as a coach in a good situation. When you are always changing clubs, you have no identity and nobody knows who you are."

Fourth man in charge
The coach was Obrenovac's fourth this season. Ivanovic followed Dragan Djuric who himself succeeded Cvijetin Blagojevic. The club began the campaign with Bosko Djurovski in charge.
