Van Acker boosts Bregenz

Members

Regi Van Acker has agreed a one-year deal to stay at Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz, and has signed Günther Schepens.

Good work
Van Acker's contract includes the option of a further 12 months should he build on his good work since replacing Rainer Hörgl and saving Bregenz from the drop at the expense of SV Ried.

First signing
The 48-year-old has already made compatriot Günther Schepens his first new signing for the 2003/04 season. The 30-year-old midfield player, a Belgian international, has signed a three-year deal after leaving KAA Gent and is expected to take a left-sided role in Van Acker's team.

Duo stay on
While Ralph Geiger and Denis Dasoul have signed new two and three-year deals respectively, Bregenz have released Jirí Rosický, Lars Unger, Oliver Mattle, Enrico Kulovits, Michael Mehlem and Emanuel Akwuegbu.
