The 24-year-old has signed a two-year contract with one of his old clubs having failed to make much of an impression in the Premiership because of long-standing injury problems. The former Galatasaray SK player said that he was delighted to be back in his native land.
Injury problems
"I faced a lot of difficulties at Galatasaray and I was sidelined because of injury for 18 months," he said. "Then I moved to Bolton but I was barely able to play there and that was because of my condition. Gençlerbirligi wanted to add me to their squad and I am grateful to them."
Gençlerbirligi ambition
Gençlerbirligi president Ilhan Cavcav was happy to see Bülent back, saying: "He completed his footballing development at Gençlerbirligi. Then he moved to Denizlispor before moving to Galatasaray and then Bolton. Now we have re-signed him. We are trying to build a team that can compete for the championship and Bülent will be part of it."
