Moldovan champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol have appointed Igor Nakonechny as their new coach following Gabi Balint's recent departure.
Personal reasons
The 43-year-old Ukrainian will take charge at the Sheriff stadium after Romanian Balint decided not to renew his contract, citing personal reasons as the problem. Nakonechny was previously coach of another Tiraspol club, FC Tiraspol, who finished fifth last season.
Seven coaches
Nakonechny becomes Sheriff's seventh coach in the last three years, a period in which the club have won three league titles and two Moldovan Cups. Sheriff will take their place in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round draw.
