Widzew Lódz have reappointed Miroslaw Czesny as president after the resignation of Jacek Dzieniakowski.

Return offered Czesny had been the president of Widzew until November last year when he moved to second division side Piotrcovia Piotrkow Trybunalski. However, when Piotrcovia missed out on promotion to the Ekstraklasa, Czesny accepted an offer to return to Widzew.
Smuda staying His return means Franciszek Smuda will stay on as first-team coach. In confirming the news, Widzew chairman Andrzej Pawelec also took the opportunity to call for new sponsors to back the club. "All offers will be welcomed with open arms," he said. "The club needs people who will support us with money."
