Armenia round-up: Pyunik held by Banants

FC Pyunik remain in charge of the Armenian Premier League after a 1-1 home draw against city rivals FC Banants.

Pyunik remain undefeated this season and started the game in aggressive fashion. Karl Lombe gave the home side a flying start as he scored on 13 minutes following Rafael Nazaryan's assist. Pyunik then slowed the pace of the game and were punished by Ara Hakobyan, who converted Ashot Grigoryan's pass 13 minutes later.

FC Shirak closed the gap on leaders to two points as they secured a 1-0 success over FC Dinamo-2000 Yerevan thanks to a goal from Ararat Harutyunyan four minutes from time. FC MIKA had to work hard for the three points as they overcame FC Araks, Artyom Adamyan scoring a dramatic last-minute winner.
