Brno lead the way

Czech Republic side 1. FC Brno needed a dramatic late winner on a busy day of UEFA Intertoto Cup action.

A late goal from Petr Krivanek sent Czech Republic side 1. FC Brno through to the second round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup with an away-goals victory over FC Kotayk.

Two goals down
Leading 1-0 from the first leg, Brno scraped through thanks to Krivanek's strike in the dying seconds of their 3-2 defeat in the Kotayk stadium. The Armenian side led 2-0 early in the second half through strikes from Artiom Voskanyan and Arshak Amiryan.

Last laugh
Milan Pacanda then gave the visitors the edge on aggregate before Voskanyan made it 3-1 to Kotyak with a penalty two minutes from time. However, Krivanek had the last laugh with his late, late goal. The Czech side now face a tricky two-legged second round tie against Switzerland's FC Thun.

Glamour tie
Örgryte IS booked a meeting with FC Nantes Atlantique after a convincing 3-0 second-leg victory over FK Žalgiris Vilnius of Lithuania. The Swedish side went into the match with an important away goal to show for last week's 1-1 draw and went ahead on aggregate when Afonso Alves scored in the 52nd minute. Paulinho scored twice in the second half to seal their progress.

Glorious Gloria 
FC Gloria 1922 Bistrita of Romania also went through with relative ease, a 5-2 home win earning them a 6-2 aggregate victory over Welsh side Bangor City FC. The visitors made the perfect start, cancelling out the hosts' away goal through Ricky Evans's early free-kick but Gloria hit back with Adrian Anca, Lucian Sanmartean (2), Sergiu Mindrean and substitute Ciprian Bucuroaia all scoring for the home side. Gloria will now face Brescia in the second round.

Greek test
AC Allianssi face a tough task against Greek side Akratitos in the second round after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Hibernians FC of Malta. Holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, the Finnish side fell behind to an Adrian Mifsud strike on the half-hour. but Mikko Simula levelled on 50 minutes to send his side through.

Pasching through
Austria's SV Pasching booked a second round tie against FK Pobeda despite a 2-1 defeat at FC WIT Georgia. Pasching travelled to the Georgian capital with a slender 1-0 advantage from the first leg and Michael Horvath's strike was enough to render Levan Melkadze and Erekle Merebashili goals meaningless.

Podeba progress
Podeba cruised through after a comfortable 7-2 aggregate victory over FC Spartak Trnava, with goals from Jesus Da Silva Gilson and Dimitar Kapinkovski adding to their 5-1 first-leg advantage. FK Sloboda Tuzla are also through despite needing a penalty shoot-out to get past Icelandic hosts KA Akureyri after the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate.

Györ comeback
Györi ETO FC came from two goals down to draw 2-2 on the night and 3-3 on aggregate with Cypriot hosts Ethnikos Achnas FC, progressing on away goals, while FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk of Belarus will meet Croatia's NK Cibalia in the second round after a 7-1 home win completed an 8-1 aggregate success against Omagh Town FC of Northern Ireland.

Partizani march on
FK Partizani scraped past Maccabi Netanya FC on away goals despite losing 3-1 in Israel. A 2-0 first-leg lead was enough for the Albanian club and they will now meet FC Dacia Chisinau of Moldova after their 5-1 aggregate defeat of Faroe Islands outfit GÍ Gøtu.

Zagreb crash out
NK Zagreb crashed out after being held to a 2-2 draw at home to FC Koper. The Slovenians went into the second leg with a 1-0 lead and will now host FK ZTS Dubnica, after their 7-1 aggregate victory over Olympiakos Nicosia FC. The Slovakians cruised to victory, taking the second leg in Cyprus 4-1.
