Poor start
The move follows Tuesday's 0-0 home draw with ÍA Akranes which left Fram bottom of the table with no wins from their opening four matches. Jonsson, who was in his third season, has left the club by mutual consent.
Relegation trouble
Fram reached the Icelandic Cup final last year but survived relegation only because they scored a goal more than Keflavík who went down. In 2001, meanwhile, they finished just a point above the relegation places.
