One-year deal
The 29-year-old midfield player, a member of the France squad that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup, joined the Corsican side on loan in the January transfer window and has now made his stay permanent, signing a one-year contract.
Successful return
Diomède moved to Anfield from AJ Auxerre in 2000 but struggled to settle in England, making only two appearances in more than two seasons with the Merseyside club. However, he regained form and confidence upon his return to France, and helped Ajaccio avoid relegation on the final day of the Ligue 1 season.
