Gasyuto jumps ship at Molodechno

Members

FC Molodechno 2000 have lost their second coach of the season following the departure of Igor Gasyuto.

Thankless task
The 48-year-old has followed predecessor Vyacheslav Akshaev out of the club, resigning after a 2-0 defeat by FC Dnepr-Transmash Mogilev left the team second from bottom of the Belarussian table. "I am leaving," said the coach. "It is no secret that the situation at Molodechno is very difficult."

Financial trouble
The club are in serious financial trouble with 16 Molodechno players having filed official complaints to the Belarus Football Federation, asking to be freed from their contracts on the grounds of unpaid wages. A similar situation at the club last season saw nine players having their contracts terminated for the same reason.

Staying put
Gasyuto's assistants Andrei Lyubchenko and Igor Starovoitov will stay at Molodechno for the time being, with Lyubchenko taking charge of the first team.
