Siena strengthen at the back

Serie A newcomers AC Siena have signed defender Carlos Arano from Racing Club de Avellaneda.

The 23-year-old Arano, who has been signed for a reported fee of €540,000, is the second new defender to join the Tuscany-based club after Daniele Delli Carri who moved from Torino Calcio on a free transfer. Meanwhile, Brazilian midfield player Fernando Menegazzo was having a medical at the Artemio Franchi stadium today. It is understood he could agree his move to Siena tomorrow.
