Spartak-Alania snare sextet

Members

Russian strugglers FC Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz have signed six players in a bid to avoid relegation.

Petrov signing
Leading the influx is the experienced former FC Spartak Moskva striker Yuri Petrov, who has arrived on a one-year contract. He will be joined at the Vladikavkaz club - Russian champions in 1995, but now second from bottom of the 16-team division - by three midfield players.

Midfield reinforcements
Belarussian international Vasili Baranov moves from Spartak; Albert Doguzov returns to his old team after spells with FC Fakel Voronezh and FC Chernomorets Krasnodarskiy Kray; while Yuri Drozdov has been recruited on loan from FC Lokomotiv Moskva for the rest of the campaign.

Foreign influence
The other two additions are defenders - FC Dinamo Moskva's Czech import Erich Brabec, and Lithuanian international Nerijus Barasa from FC Krylya Sovetov Samara.
