Transfer round-up: English and Spanish clubs dominated Thursday's transfer dealings.

Leeds first
Morris has agreed a two-year deal with the Premiership club to become Peter Reid's first buy as Leeds manager. The 24-year-old, who was close to joining first-division Cardiff City FC, was out of contract at Chelsea.

Albacete arrivals
Newly-promoted Spanish club Albacete Balompié also have been busy in the transfer market. Brazilian striker Cacá has arrived on a three-year contract from Mirasol of Brazil, while Nigerian forward Abas Lawal is moving for an undisclosed fee from Club Atlético de Madrid.

Ins and outs
In addition, Albecete have signed Atlético winger Manuel Hidalgo Jiménez 'Manolo' for two years, and RCD Espanyol defender David Catalá Jiménez for three. However, full-back José Antonio González Padilla has left the club for second-division Terrassa CF.

Injury problems
Two more players who will not be involved when the new Primera División season kicks off are defenders Fabio Aurelio and Fernando Navarro, of Valencia CF and FC Barcelona respectively. Both men face two-month lay-offs after knee operations.

Leicester link
Another promoted club, England's Leicester City FC, have recruited their eighth player of a busy close season, the Tottenham Hotspur FC defender Ben Thatcher, in a three-year deal. Meanwhile, Premiership rivals Fulham FC have sent out two players on season-long loans, with Moroccan defender Abdeslam Ouaddou joining French club Stade Rennais FC, and Argentinian goalkeeper Martin Herrera heading home to Club Estudiates La Plata.

South African
In Russia, Premier League side FC Rostov have landed the South African midfield player Bennet Mnguni from FC Lokomotiv Moskva, while in Germany, Bayer 04 Leverkusen have snapped up Swiss youngster Tranquillo Barnetta on a free transfer from FC St. Gallen.

Back home
Finally, Danish midfield player Morten Poulsen has taken only 24 hours to find a new club after being released by AGF Århus. The veteran has rejoined former club Viborg FF on a two-year contract.
