Danish Superliga club Akademisk Boldklub have signed Hungarian defender Balzs Kiskputis on a one-year contract from Újpesti TE. Kiskaputis came to AB's attention after his girlfriend, Hungarian handball international Esther Siti, signed for FC København's female handball side.
Player warned
Bundesliga newcomers Eintracht Frankfurt have suspended Jean Tsoumou-Mazda for disciplinary reasons after the 28-year-old defender allegedly struck captain Jens Keller in training on Thursday. Frankfurt coach and director of sport, Willi Reimann, said: "I will not tolerate such things. We cannot have fights on the training pitch."
Davis out
Back in England, Fulham FC midfield player Sean Davis has been ruled out for up to six weeks after picking up a knee injury on the pre-season tour of Austria. He damaged the medial ligament in his right knee.
