Ramzi treat for Twente

Members

Transfer round-up: PSV Eindhoven striker Adil Ramzi joined FC Twente on loan on a busy day for transfers.

Out of favour
The 25-year-old, who has been out of favour since Guus Hiddink's arrival as PSV coach last summer, has signed up for the 2003/04 season. Previously with Willem II and Udinese Calcio, Ramzi has been at PSV since 2000.

Portsmouth signing
Another Eredivisie player on the move is goalkeeper Harald Wapenaar who has left financially troubled FC Utrecht for English Premiership newcomers Portsmouth FC. Wapenaar, 33, has agreed a three-year contract at Fratton Park. "This is a very nice challenge for me," he said. "For every player it is a dream to play in the Premiership, and Portsmouth is a good club."

Porto move
Also headed for England is FC Porto winger Cândido Costa, who has linked up with first division Derby County FC on a 12-month loan. The 21-year-old had a spell at Vitória Setúbal last season.

Wil signings
Swiss UEFA Intertoto Cup challengers FC Wil 1900 have signed Ghanaian striker Felix Mordeku and Swiss defender Stephan Balmer. Mordeku, 28, has rejoined the Bergholz-based club on a two-year deal after a season with Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

Cup challenge
Balmer, 27, has also inked a two-year contract after leaving Swiss rivals FC Thun. Wil are in Intertoto Cup action this weekend when they play Willem II in a second round second leg tie. They trail 2-1 from the first leg.

Tavriya bonanza
In Ukraine, FC Tavriya Simferopol have signed Azerbaijan international goalkeeper Jahangir Hasanzade and Georgian striker Zurab Ionanidze. Hasenazdze, 24, has moved from Ukrainian rivals FC Volyn Lutsk, while Ionanidze, 31, has travelled further, moving from Georgia's FC Torpedo Kutaisi after topping his domestic goalscoring charts.

Title challenge
The pair will be joined at Tavriya by former Ukrainian internationals Olexander Chizhevskiy and Ihor Luchkevich. The new recruits will boost Tavriya's hopes of a renewed title challenge. Tavriya are the only club other than FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Shakhtar Donetsk to have won the Ukrainian championship.
